***Try buying herbs/spices i.e. turmeric, cumin, Sicilian herbs, thyme, basil etc by the pound from the whole food/vitamin section at places like H.E.B. grocery where you scoop out how much you want; usually under $1.50 worth that lasts weeks.  Also switch regular salt for Himalayan salt, that can be bought for less at Ross and Marshalls dept. Store.***
