Hi everyone, I’m a 46-year-old mother of 3 with 7 grandchildren. I started addressing my health because I was tired of the roles in my neck, the cottage cheese on my thighs and buttocks and just feeling overall negative about myself, physically. I’m an injured cop from 2011 and I have gained 100+ lbs since my injury because the pain was just too bad for me to exercise. My goal is to be able to do one of Shaun T
‘s workouts like Focus T25 or Tony Horton
‘s Power 90 one day and to be able to complete a home workout DVD without stopping along with losing those 100+ pounds!
So one day I was sitting here thinking about some of my own thoughts from when I first heard about Team Beachbody and then about doing a “challenge.” I was thinking, that there is no way my fat tail can do that and look at those lil skinny women exercising..they don’t have as much trouble as I do because they are so small plus I’m in pain every day and they aren’t. Well, it took me a year, but I finally said that I am tired of being overweight and I have to do something because my metabolism has halted and 240 lb. is too much. I got on the Beachbody website and glanced at a few names and went with what I thought I might like to see change and that was my flat dimpled booty, lol. So, I ordered Brazil Butt Lift. I have to say that that was in March and in 2 weeks I noticed a change in my thigh, waist, and booty. Now don’t get me wrong, I still can’t do the workouts without stopping several times but I am able to do more than I could the first month. I am writing this because I want to encourage those of you that think you are too big, too overweight, too out of shape or just too lazy and tell you that if I could do it then so can you! I’m really pushing myself and that’s not the old Kajuanna…”Ms. I’m afraid I’m going to die from lack of oxygen.” Whatever your reasons are for not exercising it’s time to quit with the EXCUSES! Yes, I said it, EXCUSES because that’s all they are because I have major medical issues and I’m doing it… I do mean major! Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, Lymphodema
, bulging discs (several along my spine), degenerative bone disease and osteoarthritis. So, I pray that someone out there is uplifted by this message and reaches out. I’m here and will give it my all to support you and help you become proud of yourself.
8/20/17 Update: Great news! I’ve been off my walker since 10/2016. I pushed myself to come off because I didn’t want to be on it for the rest of my life. Now I can walk 4 miles without stopping for more than 15 seconds. I’ve even added in a little jog 2 to 3 times a week by using the app C25K. However, my dear health and wellness followers I am DETERMINED to get back to my active self BAMN…BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY! We can DO this! Muah!
